Meet Our Pastor

Rev. Stefan Bomberger

In June 2018, Stefan S. Bomberger was installed as the eighth pastor of Manoa Community Church. Born and raised in Greater Philadelphia, Stefan received his first call to pastoral ministry in 2004. Before serving at Manoa, he ministered as Pastor of Evangelism at Riverside Church in North Lauderdale, Florida, and Covenant Fellowship Church in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania.

During his time in South Florida, Stefan also served as the Broward County Director for First Priority, leading dozens of evangelistic clubs in local public schools. Regionally, he continues to invest in gospel-centered collaboration as a board member of the Delaware County Gospel Network and as Missional Director of the Philly Metro Network, supporting church revitalization and replanting efforts.

Stefan holds a Bachelor of Science from Drexel University and a Master of Divinity from Southern Seminary. He is married to Sara, and together they have four children: Joanna, Owen, Elisabeth, and Isaac.

Empowering the Church for Works of Ministry

Staff & Elders

At Manoa, we value the vital role of elders and deacons—lay leaders—in the life of the church. Guided by Ephesians 4:12, we seek to equip and empower all ‘the saints for the work of ministry.’ Alongside our staff, they help mobilize our entire congregation to fulfill our mission together.

Deacons

The Deacon Board at Manoa Community Church oversees the ministries of compassion, congregational care, and service.

Compassion & Benevolence

Our Deacons look for opportunities to help those in need through Visitation, Meal Trains, Flowers, and Cards.

If you are experiencing a difficult time financially, physically, or emotionally the Deacons may be able to assist you. Financial emergencies do happen and a request for assistance can be made by completing the Application for Financial Assistance.

To complete an application and a member of the Deacon board will reach out to determine what assistance is available.

Service

The Deacon board provides opportunities for service. Stay tuned to our upcoming events for our next service opportunity.

Congregational Care

Our Deacons manage the scheduling of Greeters and Hospitality volunteers, keep our sanctuary pews organized, and connect people in our congregation willing to help with rides, moving furniture, yard work, etc. with those in need. Just reach out to one of us or send an email to deacons@manoa.org.
